Money makes the world go round. But how is the world making money get around? That’s the question Visa set out to answer in their ambitious international study of payment method usage. Through this annual report, Visa is able to identify trends by country so they can put investment into payment methods with the greatest potential. (Wearables, AR, IoT, etc.) Our job, here at Born & Bred, was to digest this vast, exhaustive information and translate it into data-visualization that felt friendly, intuitive, and—most importantly—Visa. We attentively crafted a color-coding system to keep the visuals simple to navigate. And since it’s an international study, we developed an illustration style with landmarks and people of all cultures. It’s a human touch that keeps the content engaging, personal, and impactful.
