Problem

The tampon industry had spent decades talking down to women, prioritizing euphemisms, softness, and outdated notions of femininity over performance and real life. For women with active lifestyles, athletes, runners, travelers, and anyone who moves, the category simply wasn’t built for them.

That’s where Sequel began. Founded by women who were unwilling to accept the status quo, the Sequel team became the first to redesign the tampon in over 80 years, engineering a product built for real bodies, real motion, and real performance. The Sequel tampon wasn’t a tweak or a rebrand of what already existed; it was a ground-up reinvention of an essential product that had gone untouched for generations.

Solution

We built a brand as bold as the product itself. The Sequel tampon didn’t need to be explained, it needed to be unmistakable. We partnered with Sequel to create an unapologetic brand system that matched the innovation of the Sequel tampon and clearly signaled a break from decades of outdated period care norms.

Through confident positioning, a high-impact visual identity, and a launch built for modern, active women, we helped the Sequel tampon show up as what it truly is: the first meaningful redesign of the tampon in 80 years, and a new standard for performance-driven period care.
